We've eaten at Pizzafarro's several times a year for many years - in spite of the fact it's more than 30 minutes from where we live. We've always thought the pizza was worth it! However, the service this last time has nixed our wish to ever eat there again.
About 2 months ago, we ate there and I accidentally left my American Express card. When my daughter called to check for me, they did verify that they had it and said they'd mail it out. We made sure they had the same address that AMEX has, so they could verify that it was going to the right person. Well, I never got it, and although I tried several times to call again, I was never able to get through. So, this last weekend I went there again. When I asked about my card, the manager was extremely rude and without checking or even acting like he knew my situation, informed me that they just cut them up. When I mentioned that the girl my daughter had talked to was going to send it out, his response was "well she had no right to tell you that. We always cut them up." He then proceeded to lecture me about the time lapse between actually leaving it there and coming in there again to ask for it.
Again, it's in excess of a 30 minute drive to get there for us. I would have been happy if they'd mailed it back to AMEX since AMEX would have forwarded it to me. But to be told one thing, then to get extraordinarily rude treatment from the manager and lectured about how long it took me to get back up there to check on it in person, is something else.
My recommendation is "don't ever leave a card up there!" I'm sad because I really liked their pizza and will not deal with an establishment that thinks so little of it's customers. Had I reviewed this 3 months ago, I would have probably given it rave reviews. Amazing what bad service will do for a company.... |

I just moved from Chicago (7/03) and can still taste the memory of "Chicago Pizza" .... Pizzafarro was really VERY GOOD! (Almost Excellent) .. The only problem: PRICEY! ($$$$) ... About 15-20% more than I percieve the vlaue of. Cant afford to eat there as often as we like!
