Okay, so I'm from New York originally. I also lived for a time about 10 minutes away from Wooster Street in New Haven, CT. I know pizza. California pizza sucks. Amazingly, though, Arinell is pretty good! It's thin crust, big slices (though they slice the pies too narrowly) and it tastes great.
Don't go expecting a restaurant, though. Arinell is a hole in the wall with little more than counter space for 4 people. It's mostly a take-out joint. Fortunately, you can actually park your car in the middle of Valencia right in front. I know; it looks crazy, but people park there. Just call in advance and go get it. |
