Nothing like it! Oct 7th, 2005
I grew up near Beeks in SLP. Since the old days I have moved to LA,CA and PHX,AZ. and cannot find anything thats close to the king of pizza "BEEKS". Whenever I am back in the cities I take the family to Beeks, which they all love! So as for service, too bad for their poor management, this place could be a gold mine with the right people in place. YA with me brother!! Hey also serve up some beer "DUH" hint:Moretti Italian beer. Maybe you just don't like success at Beeks!! But, please keep the great pizza going.

Beeks Pizza ordering problems Nov 28th, 2004
I had a similar problem to other reviewers. I ordered an Italian sausage pizza from Beeks. I used to prefer them to any pizza restaurant in my area, including Fat Lorenzos and Pizza Hut and the various other pizza establishements. I specifically remembering ordering a Italian sausage pizza with nothing else on it. When I received it, it had Italian sausage on all of it and pepperoni on half of it. One of the people I live with cannot eat sausage pizza and this person was not around so this was my chance to get a sausage pizza with no pepperoni. I called the manager, and he gave me this double talk that there was no pepperoni on my pizza and that I must have been imagining it. There wasn't anything that he was going to do for me, let alone acknowledge that I received pepperoni with my sausage. I took them off my restaurant list. I now prefer Carbones. I never have any problems with them; the pizza is just as good and there are no order problems.

The only thing that I can think of in defense of Beeks is that I think Dominos has made the pizza delivery business pretty difficult with the 30 minute guarantee or the pizza is free. I would assume that offer creates a whole market of people looking for something wrong with their pizza so that they can complain and get a reduced price.

I have not complained to another restaurant in the last tens of years, and I would consider myself a heavy user of restaurants since I travel for work. All in all if you do not care what type of pizza you get when you order, and you are ok avoiding conversations with the owner/manager, Beeks is still very good pizza, but why waste your time when Carbones is the same distance, just as good and they get the orders correct?

Whoever takes the orders sucks Oct 15th, 2004
Whoever takes the orders sucks- I dont know if she is worried that she will break an acrylic nail or something but how hard is it to add CHEESE BREAD to your spaghetti dinner instead of Garlic bread! And learn how to be friendly. I know you only get paid minimum wage! Deal with it!

Neighborhood Business Not Very Neighborly Nov 8th, 2002
I have always been in favor of supporting local businesses over large chains when I can help it. I would shop at Ron's Market instead of SuperAmerica. I would rather bring my car to Tisdell's than Tires Plus. It used to be that I would rather have a pizza delivered by Beek's than Domino's. I would think that the manager of a small, locally owned business would understand the concept of satisfying the customer. When treated poorly I may be quiet or I may let them know, but unless I leave with a resolution I will almost never come back.

I worked at Beek's all thru high school and one of the current owners would probably remember me. My wife and I will order food from them at least every couple of weeks and I love to tell people that have never been there how great the pizza is.

Last night I ordered a large pan pizza, not the usual (their thin crust has always been my favorite) but at the time it sounded good. I waited 30 minutes, the driver showed up, I gave him my check and he handed over my dinner. As soon as I opened the box I realized they had made a mistake and delivered a thin crust pizza. Normally I wouldn't care but I was really in the mood for something particular. I called the manager and let him know what had happened. This is about how the conversation went...

ME: I ordered a pan pizza, it was just delivered and I received a thin crust pizza.

MGR: We don't have pan pizza.

ME: I just ordered a pan pizza 30 minutes ago, I guess someone there made a mistake.

MGR: We don't have pan pizza.

ME: That's fine, I just need to return this pizza and get my check back.

MGR: We don't have pan pizza and we don't give refunds.

ME: I ordered one thing and you gave me something else, I just want my money back.

MGR: We don't give refunds, would you like something else or store credit.

ME: No, I just want my money back.

MGR: We don't give refunds.

At this time I left a message for the owner (who I still haven't heard from).

I took the pizza back to the store and of course had the same conversation. I let him know that this was just stealing and not right. He offered up that I should call the police. I did, and of course the local precinct told me what I already know...nothing they can do.

Option 1: Cancel my check and pay the $10 fee.

Option 2: Take them to small claims court for $13.

Option 3. Never do business with them again.

I am going with Option 3. If only the manager realized that he loses less by giving me my $13 back and getting my continued business (probably an average of $300 per year...every year). Not to mention that I have a big mouth and will let every one I know hear about this adventure.

The coupons are off the fridge and will be replaced by their competition as I help to build their business at an average of $300 per year...every year.
