This pizza is OUTSTANDING! The crust is thin and the sauce is out of this world! you should definately try this pizza if you're looking for a different (but better) tasting pizza than your local pizza place. |

I was just at Pica's last Friday, (1/2/04) and found it great as usual. Yes, it is crowded. So make a reservation. The food was fabulous as always and the parking lot is always full. Says something about how good it is. I have been a regular customer for over 30 years. |

I have been eating Pica's food for 32 years since my family moved to Highland Park; I had take out from when the open window on Fairview Ave. was where you recieved the food. I am not sure that the dining room has been cleaned since then. The wait staff has a Jersey Diner feel but without the wit. Yeah, the food is only OK, BUT - compared to other take out choices, this is top shelf. The pizza is infact the best in the world (TIP - for some reason small pizzas cook better than large ones - get two small instead of one large.) |

To this day I do not understand why Pica's Restaurant is crowded every evening. First of all, the food is definitely not cuisine art. The dishes are offered at above average prices and with no quality to compensate. The ambiance is usually loud and crowded. The lighting is dark. I have been a resident of Upper Darby for over 17 years so I understand the history of the restaurant. If you choose to get take-out, it is your best bet. Do not even try to go on weekend. Just take one look at their parking lot and you'll see what I am talking about. |
