Whenever you go to a small town, who better to know where the best place to eat than the people who live there? Well in Marysville 9 out of 10 people well tell you Cristiano's is the place to go. Salads that are so tasty that you may just enjoy that for a meal. Pizza that has fresh toppings with a zesty sauce and huge pieces of pepperoni! Cristiano's is a real treat for the whole family. |

Great food in large quantities for great price. The service is friendly. Where else can you go to get a pizza salad combo that can easily feed two people for $7? |

Located in the Safeway shopping center on State Avenue, Cristiano's offers great food at fair prices. Their salad and pizza combination is arguably the best value in town.
Salads are piled high and are a meal by themselves, even if you order a small size. The Italian Chef salad offers generous portions of pepperoni and salami along with strips of provolone and mozzarella cheeses. The spicy Italian dressing compliments it perfectly. For a lighter salad, try the Mediterranean, offering ample amounts of crumbled feta cheese and black olives. The chicken caesar salad is fine, but a bit bland compared to the others.
The pizzas have a soft, fluffy crust and a sauce that walks the line between sweet and spicy. Toppings are generously applied. The House Favorite is completely covered in a layer of pepperoni, with sausage, olives and mushrooms placed on top and cheese melted over the whole lot. The Rustica is a nice pizza for a change of pace, made with Roma tomatoes and pancetta.
The service is hit and miss, being rather rushed and frantic during dinner hours but attentive and helpful during the slower lunch hours. If you're looking for dinner, you'll be better off ordering take-out. Aside from the questionable service, waits of a half hour or more for a table are common.
Still, the food is excellent and the price is right. A dinner for two averages about $20. Strongly recommended. |
